Visual Thinking — Live in Stereo — Every 1st Thursday at XPLANE

On the first of the month (generally) the Portland branch of XPLANE holds Visual Thinking School. During those two hours on a Thursday afternoon, brains and imagination are required to attend, as well as an interest in collaboration and drawing — no matter your level of skill.

Despite everyone being on the same “team,” VTS is almost like Pictionary on steroids.
Smart steroids.
If there were such a thing.

Last month’s VTS was hosted by the honorable Tim May, (who just returned from a long trip to open up the Amsterdam XPLANE) and was entitled “Invent it, XPLANE it” and  gave participants the opportunity to brainstorm, design and create visualizations for practical yet-to-be invented products. The full review can be found on the VTS blog.

I highly recommend attending if you are interested in this visual process of solving problems, even if you are not a designer.

To keep up on the haps, follow VTS on Twitter.
