SHIFT 5: Inspiring Sustainable Design
On Thursday evening, 11/18, AIGA Portland will have the 5th SHIFT, where 10 presenters share for 5 minutes their thoughts, tips, and observations on sustainable design. This evening, including a Q&A session and mingling, is in hopes of shaping the future of visual communications for the better.
The event will be held again at Ecotrust in the pearl, from 7pm ‑9pm, with mingling after. Folks are encouraged to bring note/sketch pads, and a mug for free beer. Often Peach Cheesecake drops by with her local, famous cupcakes (rumor has it they will be carrot cake this time). Entrance fee is $5 for AIGA members, $10 for non-members. More deets here.
I have truly enjoyed being the event director over the past year and half, and hope to continue to help promote sustainable design — for whatever that can mean.
